Welcome to my website. I am a long-time, full-time criminal trial attorney. I handle complex criminal cases in federal and state criminal court, and I am a founding member of one of the nation’s leading military criminal defense law firms.
In federal court I have extensive experience representing people accused of white collar crime, computer crime, wire and mail fraud, extortion and bribery, conspiracy, and drug offenses. I have regular contact with the US Attorney’s Office, FBI, Postal Inspector, and ICE.
In state and military court I have extensive experience representing people accused of larceny, theft, sexual assault, drug offenses, computer crime, and violent crimes including homicide. In addition to serious felony cases, I represent Illinois residents in DUI hearings, traffic court, and juvenile delinquency matters.
I also have a substantial civil rights practice. I have defended police officers against false claims of abuse, and I have successfully sued the city when its officers have abused people’s rights.
